Chiefs coach Todd Haley reiterated Tuesday that no player's job is safe, not even starting quarterback Matt Cassel's.
Haley has already shown with WR Dwayne Bowe, ILB Derrick Johnson, and S Bernard Pollard that he's not afraid to demote presumed starters. For emphasis, he added that "money, past draft status, and star power" mean nothing if a quarterback isn't winning. Brodie Croyle didn't embarrass himself in the opener, which means Cassel could be on a shorter leash than expected this season. But we wouldn't worry much about it. Source: Kent Babb on Twitter
