Texans RE Mario Williams will have his shoulder scoped this offseason.
The procedure will probably happen by the end of the month, and not threaten Williams' status for OTAs. Mario's nine sacks in 2009 were his fewest since his rookie year, but he played hurt all season and has been snubbed previously. He's still one of the game's top-ten all-around defensive ends.

Dolphins DE Randy Starks was left off the AFC Pro Bowl roster.
Starks was a far more consistently disruptive player than Mario Williams this season, but the nod went to the "name" player. The Texans ended up placing three defensive players on the roster, with rookie Brian Cushing and fellow linebacker DeMeco Ryans joining Williams.

Texans RE Mario Williams is active for Sunday's game against Arizona.
He had been a game-time decision with a groin injury. The Texans' inactives are third QB Dan Orlovsky, S Nick Ferguson, TE Anthony Hill, C Antoine Caldwell, CB Antwaun Molden, DT Frank Okam, WR Glenn Martinez, and DT Deljuan Robinson.

Texans RE Mario Williams (groin) will be a game-time decision in Week 5.
Williams felt a "pop" in the groin towards the end of last week's win over the Raiders, and missed Wednesday and Thursday's practices before returning for limited work on Friday. The Cardinals-Texans game already projects to be high scoring. Mario's absence would only reinforce that notion.
