Raiders DB Michael Huff started Sunday's game at free safety over Hiram Eugene.
Huff made six tackles, while Eugene didn't make the box score. SS Tyvon Branch led the team in stops, forced a fumble, and remains the best IDP bet in this secondary. For the year, Branch is averaging eight tackles a game.

Raiders FS Hiram Eugene will miss Sunday's game with an unspecified leg injury.
Michael Huff, who has already intercepted three passes as the deep safety in the nickel package, will fill in as the full-time free safety.

The Raiders informed former No. 7 overall pick Michael Huff that he's on the roster bubble.
A 32-game starter in his first two seasons, Huff lost his job to Hiram Eugene last year. Huff has a ton of athletic ability, but safeties that don't tackle or cover don't usually make NFL teams. He's no longer on Al Davis scholarship.

The Raiders are "actively" attempting to trade S Michael Huff, according to the National Football Post.
Huff has been a bust since being picked seventh overall in 2006, but could draw interest from Tampa 2 teams viewing him as a corner. Huff played some CB at Texas and many clubs saw him as a better fit there coming out.

Raiders released S Gibril Wilson.
Ronald Curry and Kalimba Edwards were also released. Similar to DeAngelo Hall, Wilson signed a lengthy deal just a year ago, but only received $9 million on a $39 million contract. Though he was productive with 129 tackles in 2008, Wilson was never worth what the Raiders paid. Now that they've spent big to keep Nnamdi Asomugha and Shane Lechler, Wilson was more of a luxury than a necessity. Fellow safety Michael Huff survives for now.
