Beat writer Kevin Acee wouldn't be surprised if the Chargers tried to deal Antonio Cromartie this offseason.
Cromartie has earned the team's ire on several occasions the past couple of years, and he may have "run his course" in San Diego. The team is also said to be high on 2008 first-rounder Antoine Cason. Cromartie is due $1.225M in the final year of his contract.

Antonio Cromartie will reportedly be charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon Tuesday.
We'll see if it sticks. Cromartie was in a group of people celebrating when a man was hit over the head with a flying champagne bottle. There are conflicting stories from witnesses, putting Cromartie's role in doubt.

Chargers CB Antonio Cromartie is not expected to be charged with assault for his alleged role in a Sunday night incident at a San Diego bar.
Cromartie was accused of hitting a man over the head with a champagne bottle, but there have been too many conflicting stories from "witnesses." The closing of the case ensures that Cromartie won't be subject to NFL discipline.

According to Chargers beat reporter Kevin Acee, "several sources" are saying that CB Antonio Cromartie did not throw a champagne bottle that hit a bystander at a San Diego bar late Sunday.
Acee reported earlier that assault charges would likely be filed, but never said if Cromartie would be charged. The SDPD is investigating the incident, and Cromartie is a suspect. Cromartie's agent claims his client had a bottle at the time of the incident, but that the object "slipped" out of Cromartie's hand.

Chargers CB Antonio Cromartie is being investigated for assault with a deadly weapon for an incident in a San Diego bar Sunday night.
According to beat reporter Kevin Acee, "charges are likely." Cromartie and several teammates were out celebrating their win over the Broncos, when he allegedly threw a champagne bottle which hit a bystander in the head. No charges were pressed and the bystander suffered a mere small cut on his head. Cromartie's agent, of course, denies that his client threw the bottle.

Antonio Cromartie's MRI revealed a "slight bruise" under his kneecap, but there were no ligament tears.
Though Cromartie may still be limited Sunday against the Chiefs, it appears that the Chargers dodged a major bullet in their secondary. It's still a good matchup for Matt Cassel, as long his offensive line can keep him upright.
