 Kellen Clemens-QB- JetsJan. 28 - 4:40 pm et
GM Mike Tannenbaum indicated that the Jets would offer a tender to restricted free agent QB Kellen Clemens as opposed to cutting him loose.
Clemens was brutal in limited action in 2009, so Tannenbaum's announcement doesn't say much for the team's confidence in Kevin O'Connell and Erik Ainge. Clemens would have a hard time landing a No. 2 job on the open market, much less a starting opportunity.

 Kellen Clemens-QB - Jets Jan. 25 - 9:33 pm et

Restricted free agent Kellen Clemens indicated Monday that he doesn't anticipate the Jets re-signing him.
"I’m not at the point yet where I want to say I’m just a career backup and that’s all I want to do," he said. Clemens isn't any good, so he'll be easy to replace as Mark Sanchez's backup. If the Jets don't go the free agent route, their in-house options are youngsters Kevin O'Connell and Erik Ainge.

 Mark Sanchez-QB - Jets Dec. 18 - 1:53 pm et

Jets coach Rex Ryan confirmed Friday that Mark Sanchez will start Sunday's game against the Falcons.
"Mark will start," said Ryan. "No great surprise to anybody. He threw the ball really well today." Kellen Clemens' unimpressive one-game stint is over. The Newark Star-Ledger, however, points out that 20MPH winds and snow is in the Meadowlands forecast for Sunday. Sanchez wouldn't be an attractive two-QB league gamble, and New York's pass receivers are all major risks.

 Mark Sanchez-QB - Jets Dec. 17 - 12:44 pm et

Mark Sanchez (knee) scrimmaged with the first team at Thursday's practice.
We're expecting Sanchez to be named the starter later this afternoon. Sanchez won't be much of a fantasy play, but his presence does upgrade the outlooks for Jerricho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards a little. The Falcons are ranked 30th against the pass.

 Mark Sanchez-QB - Jets Dec. 16 - 3:35 pm et

Jets coach Rex Ryan wouldn't name a starting QB for Week 15 following Wednesday's practice.
Mark Sanchez (knee) looked good in a "limited" practice Wednesday and is New York's likely starter against the Falcons, but Ryan wants to see how the rookie progresses throughout the week. "It was a good practice today for Mark," Ryan said. "We'll see how Mark feels as of tomorrow morning. He felt good. I want to make sure there's no swelling (on Thursday)."

 Kellen Clemens-QB - Jets Dec. 15 - 7:56 pm et

Kellen Clemens and Mark Sanchez (knee) will split first-team quarterback reps in Jets practice this week.
Rex Ryan wants to see how Sanchez's PCL sprain responds through the week. Sanchez is the better option, even if Clemens might be less turnover prone. Sanchez would also make the Jets' pass catchers better fantasy bets.
