Bears agreed to terms with LT Orlando Pace on a three-year, $15 million contract.
A busy day at Bears headquarters, as they now have protection for their new franchise QB. Pace, who can earn $11 million in the first two years of the deal, is slated to start at left tackle. Chris Williams will move to the right side with newly signed Kevin Shaffer acting as injury insurance on a much-improved line. Pace is 33, but proved he still has plenty in the tank by allowing just two sacks last season. Only Denver's Ryan Clady (0.5) and Tennessee's Michael Roos (1.0) gave up fewer.
