Fudge sustained a torn MCL in Monday night's loss against the Saints. Primarily a special teamer, the 26-year-old's season ends with just one tackle in two appearances.

Second-year man Thomas DeCoud has been penciled in as the Falcons' starting strong safety.
With William Moore (knee) out two-to-four weeks, DeCoud is the clear choice for the job. Jamaal Fudge isn't going to push him. We'll see what happens when Moore returns to full strength.

Fudge backed up Lawyer Milloy at strong safety last season, but he sees most of his time on special teams. The former undrafted free agent is very undersized at 5'9/196.
