Bears declared DE Gaines Adams, WR Juaquin Iglesias, RB Adrian Peterson, CB D.J. Moore, OG Lance Louis, DL Matt Toeaina, DL Jarron Gilbert and LB Hunter Hillenmeyer inactive for Week 6.
Adams was acquired Friday evening from the Bucs, but won't play until Week 7 against Cincinnati. The Bears are taking on the Falcons Sunday night.

According to a league source, newly acquired Bears DE Gaines Adams will be inactive for Sunday's matchup in Atlanta.
Expect Adams to see his first snaps as a Bear in Week 7 when the team goes to Cincinnati. This move should motivate DEs Adewale Ogunleye and Mark Anderson. He still needs to pass his physical and the Bears still have to dump a player to open up a roster spot for Adams.

Bears acquired DE Gaines Adams from the Buccaneers in exchange for what is believed to be a 2010 second-round draft pick.
While Bucs GM Mark Dominik mails in the season by dealing off his most gifted pass rusher and nears insertion of an underclassman rookie QB, Bears GM Jerry Angelo is in the talent acquisition business. Trading first-day picks isn't advised, except when the return is a 26-year-old with dominating ability and a contract through 2012. Jim Bates, who's clearly lost his touch, couldn't get enough out of Adams in his first season as Bucs defensive coordinator. It's a good bet that Bears defensive line coach Rod Marinelli will.

Bucs RE Gaines Adams (groin) won't start but is expected to play, according to beat reporter Rick Stroud.
Adams hurt his groin against the Giants last week and is listed as questionable. Stylez White will get the start.

Bucs RE Gaines Adams has missed the last two days of practice due to a groin injury and is questionable for Week 4.
Adams hurt the groin against the Giants on Sunday. The former No. 4 overall pick in 2007 has taken a lot of heat this season for getting little pressure on the quarterback. He has zero sacks and five tackles on the season.

The Bucs are considering benching RE Gaines Adams after he recorded zero sacks in the team's first two games.
Adams posted a goose egg in Week 1 against Dallas LT Flozell Adams, and had four tackles but got little pressure vs. Bills LT Demetrius Bell on Sunday. Dropping Adams from the lineup would be a huge disappointment after the Bucs used the 4th overall pick on him in 2007. His motor runs too hot and cold.
