Texans DT Amobi Okoye is "steadily playing his best football as a pro," according to coach Gary Kubiak.
"I think there's still another level for him to find, but he's obviously playing with more confidence and playing better," Kubiak added. Okoye has 13 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and two pass deflections over the past four games.

Texans DT Amobi Okoye is reportedly being pushed by Shaun Cody for the starting job.
The fallout from Mike Bell's 100-yard effort against the Texans last week? Okoye is a special talent, but he's been practically invisible since the second half of his rookie season. The Texans need major improvement from their defensive tackles.

Texans DT Amobi Okoye (knee) has been cleared to play in the preseason.
Okoye's June knee scope was discouraging, but Gary Kubiak has been impressed with the 22-year-old in camp. "He's been brought along the right way," the coach said. Okoye will resume starting at three technique this year.

Texans DT Amobi Okoye is recovering from June arthroscopic knee surgery.
Gary Kubiak said in May that Okoye was "fine" after an MRI, further proving that you can only trust NFL head coaches as far as they can be thrown. Okoye still may only miss a week or two of camp. The procedure sounds minor.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak says DT Amobi Okoye "has been fine" since needed an MRI on his sore left knee a month ago.
Tests confirmed no damage and Kubiak says the knee isn't an issue. "He has a quad problem actually that has given his knee some soreness, and we feel like we’re on top of that," Kubiak said. "He’s had a good offseason."

Texans DT Amobi Okoye's recent MRI on his sore left knee revealed no structural damage, according to Scout.com.
Okoye developed soreness during offseason workouts. He's expected to rest for awhile before participating in spring OTAs.
