Beat writer Jason Reid says that S LaRon Landry "appeared to regress" last season.
We're not so sure Landry regressed, it's just that he has a lot to live up to as the No. 6 overall pick in the 2007 draft. He was still the leader of a secondary that ranked ninth against the pass while racking up 90 tackles. His IDP upside is limited severely because he doesn't pick off passes or blitz very often.

Redskins FS LaRon Landry (concussion) is out for Week 17.
Landy had another big year in 2009, racking up 89 tackles and forcing a pair of fumbles, although he still isn't picking off many passes. He remains an outstanding cover safety and leader of Washington's No. 5 pass defense.

Redskins FS LaRon Landry was sent home Wednesday with what is thought to be a mild concussion.
Landry was feeling headaches and was sent home as a precaution, but there's a good chance he'll miss Week 17. The Redskins are already without their other safety, Reed Doughty, who is nursing a high ankle sprain.

Redskins FS LaRon Landry put to rest any rumors that he wants to be traded and said he's been absent because of "personal issues."
"I was doing a couple personal things," said Landry. "And through the missed [practices], all that, I still stayed in shape ... and as far as my physical ability and endurance it's all there."

Redskins FS LaRon Landry finally reported to voluntary OTAs on Thursday.
We imagine it would've been nice for Landry to have arrived earlier, but it's really no big deal. Washington has continuity on defense and Landry is already established as an elite player. He's geared up for another big year.

Redskins FS LaRon Landry has not been attending voluntary workouts or answered calls from the team.
Landry was late to workouts last year as well, but he showed up in early June. Coach Jim Zorn said Landry's absence is "disappointing," but is confident he'll "be ready in training camp and go hard and have a great year."
