Jason Hill caught two passes for 17 yards on Sunday.
Hill battled with Brandon Jones and Isaac Bruce to be the No. 3 receiver all season. He caught nine passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games this season. The former third-round had a down year after catching 30 passes in 2008.

Jason Hill played just 14 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Jaguars.
Hill is the No. 3 wideout, but he's not a priority in the spread offense. The slot receiver is not a fantasy option even with Isaac Bruce on the sidelines.

Jason Hill caught just one ball for eight yards in Week 11.
Not surprisingly, Hill's two-touchdown Week 9 effort has proven to be a fluke. He plays enough snaps in the 49ers' spread looks to have some decent games, but will be very inconsistent. Hill is only worth owning in deep leagues.

Coach Mike Singletary confirmed that Isaac Bruce has a diminishing role in the 49ers offense and won't start the rest of the season.
Michael Crabtree and Josh Morgan are the starters, and Jason Hill will likely continue to hold down No. 3 receiver duties. If you haven't already, it's time to drop the 37-year-old Bruce in all leagues.

Though Isaac Bruce was ostensibly deactivated Thursday night due to an ankle injury, the San Francisco Chronicle believes the decision had more to do with Jason Hill.
The Chronicle called it "the clearest indication yet that the 49ers are moving in a younger direction" at receiver. Expect Josh Morgan to continue starting, with Hill remaining in the slot for the rest of the season. Neither player has fantasy value for 2009.
