The Texans are expected to sign free agent RB Chris Henry to their practice squad.
It's a better fit for Henry than the Redskins would have been. Backup Chris Brown is injury-prone, and Ryan Moats is more of a role player. Henry will battle undrafted rookie Arian Foster to be the first to get a shot should one of the backs get injured. He's an extreme long-shot for fantasy value.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn said on his radio show that the team will not be signing free agent RB Chris Henry.
Henry visited with the Redskins on Monday. It would have been a weird signing with Ladell Betts and Marcus Mason chomping at the bit and Clinton Portis getting 25 carries last week.

The Redskins will host former Titans RB Chris Henry for a free agent visit on Monday.
Washington is obviously concerned with its running game, as Clinton Portis is spinning his wheels for a 3.9 YPC average and no TDs. Portis hasn't been effective since midseason in 2008. The Texans are also interested in Henry.

Titans released RB Chris Henry.
The writing has been on the wall since the team selected Javon Ringer in this year's draft. The 2007 second-round bust was inactive every game last season and has yet to see a carry this year. Another team will likely fall for Henry's workout wonder athleticism, but he lacks instincts and vision as a runner.

Titans waived/injured RB Quinton Ganther.
In a surprise, Chris Henry made the club. Ganther's injury wasn't disclosed, but he probably wasn't making the Titans anyway. Rookie Javon Ringer will be No. 3 behind starter Chris Johnson and vulture back LenDale White.

Rookie Javon Ringer is leading the competition for the Titans' No. 3 RB job.
According to beat writer Jim Wyatt, Ringer looks more like a lock every day to make the roster. That's somewhat of an upset as Ringer was thought to be too small and not fast enough to be a productive NFL back, despite his monster college career. This could be very bad news for Chris Henry's chances of making the team.
