In addition to CB Rashean Mathis (groin), the Jags may also be without MLB Justin Durant (concussion) and SS Gerald Alexander (shoulder) in Week 11.
The Bills offense may have a fighting chance this week even with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. The Jags are talking about playing Reggie Nelson at corner again, which would be great news for Lee Evans in a highly favorable matchup.

 Gerald Alexander-DB - Jaguars Nov. 15 - 11:47 am et

Jaguars declared S Gerald Alexander, WR Tiquan Underwood, DB Courtney Greene, LB Adam Seward, DL Derek Landri, OL Maurice Wiliams, TE Ernest Wilford and LB Greg Peterson inactive for Week 10 against the Jets.
Alexander briefly overtook Sean Considine as the starting strong safety, but the Jaguars have reversed that switch. Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) is active, as expected.

Gerald Alexander has officially taken over for Sean Considine as the Jaguars starting strong safety.
Think Lions wish they had Alexander back instead of a few weeks of Dennis Northcutt? Starting in place of Considine in Week 4, Alexander had an interception, a fumble recovery, and brought added physicality to the position.

With Sean Considine banged up, the Jaguars started Gerald Alexander at strong safety in Week 4 against Tennessee and he responded with five tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception.
Jags.com writer Vic Ketchman called it, "the best safety play I’ve seen the Jaguars get since I can’t remember." Alexander is a much more physically imposing presence than Considine and may hang onto the job going forward.

 Reggie Nelson-DB - Jaguars Sep. 1 - 6:42 pm et

Coach Jack Del Rio confirmed that Reggie Nelson will enter the season as the Jaguars' starting free safety.
Nelson is coming off a down year after an exceptional, five-pick rookie campaign, but has held off versatile Gerald Alexander. Still, Nelson will be on a short leash. We'd avoid most of the Jaguars' secondary in IDP leagues.

 Reggie Nelson-DB - Jaguars Jul. 30 - 3:44 pm et

Gerald Alexander will begin Jaguars training camp at free safety, indicating that Reggie Nelson's starting job may be in jeopardy.
Nelson will run with the first team, but it appears free agent pickup Sean Considine's strong safety job is more secure. Nelson, the 21st overall pick in the 2007 draft, slumped as a sophomore after a five-pick rookie season.
