Patriots practice squad QB Isaiah Stanback has been working as a wide receiver in portions of practice open to the media this week.
He showed promise as a receiver in Dallas but could never stay healthy. With Joey Galloway released and Julian Edelman (arm) sidelined, Stanback could be activated for this week's game in London.

Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio said Tuesday that Isaiah Stanback is the team's No. 3 QB.
It's interesting considering Stanback was playing receiver for the Cowboys five days ago. Stanback is on New England's practice squad and will play behind Brian Hoyer and Tom Brady. He is obviously a project, but Stanback did have a solid career as a mobile quarterback at the University of Washington.

Patriots signed QB/WR Isaiah Stanback to their practice squad.
NFL.com's Jason La Canfora notes that the 2007 fourth-round pick got "lots" of offers from other teams, but the Pats were the only one willing to let him play QB, his college position. Stanback was tried at wideout in Dallas.

Cowboys released WR Isaiah Stanback.
Stanback's injuries finally caught up with him. He couldn't hold off rookie Kevin Ogletree for the No. 5 receiver job.

Undrafted rookie WR Kevin Ogletree has bypassed Isaiah Stanback on the depth chart.
This confirms our suspicions that Ogletree was running away with the No. 5 receiver job. It looks like Stanback, long on potential but always injured, won't make the final roster.
