Kevin Boss "tweeted" that he's having surgery on his pinkie Wednesday.
Boss wasn't on the Giants' long list of players set to undergo surgery this offseason. It's obviously nothing major for one of the toughest players in the league.

Kevin Boss was held without a catch in Week 17 against the Vikings.
An odd way for a solid season to end, as Boss caught 42 balls for 567 yards through 15 games. Despite being shut out in the finale he finishes as a top-15 fantasy tight end.

Kevin Boss caught five passes for 49 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
Most of the Boss' numbers came well after the game was decided. The Giants chose to leave their starters in despite trailing by at least 31 points for the vast majority of the second half. Boss does have 15 catches and a touchdown in his last three games, making him a usable TE2.

Boss and the rest of the Giants' receivers had no trouble getting open on Monday, as the Redskins didn't show up to play right from the get go. He has been so inconsistent in 2009 and is not a good play next week against Carolina.

Boss displayed an incredible amount of focus on a first-quarter catch, hauling in a batted ball that nearly landed on the Giants Stadium turf. He's a reliable end zone target and a fine TE2 play.

Kevin Boss caught just one pass for 10 yards in Sunday's win over the Cowboys.
Boss was asked to block more than run routes. All his value comes in his ability to score touchdowns and he'll be a TE2 against the Eagles next week.
