Giants coach Tom Coughlin said his first priority during the bye week is to fix the team's red zone problems.
Even though they'll never admit it, it's pretty obvious this team misses Plaxico Burress badly. Hakeem Nicks is probably the best candidate for those jump balls, but he's still splitting time with Mario Manningham. Kevin Boss has two touchdowns in the last two weeks and is someone worth monitoring in touchdown heavy leagues.

Kevin Boss caught two passes for 17 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
Boss took yet another huge hit in the first half, but came back in as he almost always does. Sunday was Boss' second touchdown in the last two weeks after having none in his first seven games. He's a TE2 as the Giants head into their bye.

Kevin Boss (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 9. He practiced in a limited fashion on Friday.
He'll start vs. San Diego, but is only a TE2 in the usually favorable matchup. Blocking most of the time, Boss is just the No. 22 fantasy TE so far.

Boss is expected to play Sunday against a Chargers defenses that gives up tight-end points in bunches. His inconsistency, though, makes him no more than a bye-week fill-in this week.

Updating a previous item, Giants TE Kevin Boss was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Boss, who's been blocking virtually all season, will play Sunday and likely focus on giving tackles David Diehl and Kareem McKenzie "help" against Chargers OLBs Shawne Merriman, Shaun Phillips, and Larry English.

Boss will probably be limited after tweaking the ankle against the Eagles last week, but this guy is an ironman. He'll almost certainly start Sunday against a Chargers team that has been getting gashed by tight ends all season.
