Matt Moore completed 14-of-23 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' Week 17 win over New Orleans.
This was Moore's shakiest effort in a month, but that was to be expected without Steve Smith (fractured forearm). Muhsin Muhammad was the Panthers' primary receiver, and Dwayne Jarrett was No. 2. Moore still closed out the year with an 8:0 TD-to-INT ratio in his last four games. He turned the football over just once in five starts, led the team to a 4-1 record, and is in good position to hold off Jake Delhomme in 2010. The Panthers, however, are likely to add talent to the position.
