Mario Manningham caught six passes for 52 yards in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
Manningham split time with Hakeem Nicks, but did start and was on the field in crunch time. After missing last week's game against the Eagles with a shoulder injury, Manningham's six catches were the most he's had since Week 2. Look for the rotations to continue when the Giants come out of their bye.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin confirmed that Mario Manningham (shoulder, probable) is "on track" to return Sunday against San Diego after practicing in a limited manner on Friday.
He just isn't a good fantasy bet. Mario will split snaps with Hakeem Nicks at best, and Nicks figures to start considering his high level of play lately. The Giants may also employ a run-first game plan, as Brandon Jacobs is hot, Eli Manning is struggling, and the Bolts are tough against the pass.

Manningham is on track to play against the Chargers, but he's not an attractive fantasy option with Hakeem Nicks starting to steal looks.

Manningham will almost certainly play, but we'll see how many snaps he gets with Hakeem Nicks playing well. We don't like Manningham as a fantasy play this week.

Updating a previous item, Mario Manningham (shoulder) was limited in Giants practice Wednesday.
Manningham is averaging just 46.2 yards a game since his 150-yard Week 2 explosion while rotating with Hakeem Nicks. There have been indications that Nicks could assume the split end job full time, and he's certainly played well enough to earn it. Manningham isn't a fantasy option versus San Diego.

Mario Manningham (shoulder) will practice Wednesday.
Manningham was inactive in Week 8, and there was speculation that he separated his shoulder. Even if he's limited in practice, it's a great sign for his availability ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers. Downgrade Hakeem Nicks slightly if Manningham suits up, though it's possible that Nicks has overtaken "Super Mario" on the Giants' depth chart already.
