Lions beat writer Tom Kowalski believes the team "might make a play" for Chiefs DL Glenn Dorsey this offseason.
Dorsey was drafted by K.C. when current Lions DC Gunther Cunningham ran the Chiefs' defense. Dorsey would also be a better fit in Detroit's 4-3 scheme as a three technique tackle. He hasn't been productive in the Chiefs' 3-4.

Chiefs DE Wallace Gilberry led the team's defensive linemen in sacks (4.5) and quarterback pressures (5) in 2009.
This is more an indictment of Glenn Dorsey and disappointing rookies Tyson Jackson and Alex Magee more than anything, but Gilberry did make the most of his snaps and should have a roster spot in 2010. While the job of 3-4 ends isn't always to rush, Jackson and Dorsey had plenty of blitz opportunities on third downs throughout the year. Dorsey had one sack; Jackson had none.

Chiefs DE Glenn Dorsey (knee) returned to game action against the Bengals Sunday.
Dorsey's absence was glaring in Week 15 when Jerome Harrison went crazy for 286 yards and three touchdowns. That says more about the Chiefs' lack of quality depth than Dorsey's progress as a run-stopper.

Chiefs DE Glenn Dorsey (knee) missed Sunday's game against the Browns.
The Chiefs subbed in different players in Dorsey's spot and made scheme changes along the defensive front only to have Jerome Harrison run roughshod over the replacements. It's not known if Dorsey will return for this week's game against the Bengals.

Chiefs DL Glenn Dorsey was sporting a full-length leg brace after leaving Sunday's game with a knee injury, though he doesn't expect to miss game action.
"I'll be fine," Dorsey said. "I'll know more (Monday). It's not too serious. It's precautionary. ... They don’t want to take any chances with it. They'll take some pictures in the morning."

Chiefs DE Glenn Dorsey limped off the field Sunday with a right knee injury.
