Ryan Fitzpatrick (ankle) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice.
Fitzpatrick took the majority of the first-team snaps for the second straight day and appears to be the favorite for starting duties. The much anticipated Brian Brohm-Curtis Painter matchup will have to wait.

Bills coach Perry Fewell said Monday that he is optimistic Ryan Fitzpatrick (ankle) will be able to play in Week 17.
"We think he'll be better," Fewell said. Brian Brohm completed 17-of-29 attempts for just 146 yards and two interceptions in the Bills' Week 16 blowout loss. Fitzpatrick will start against Indianapolis if he's healthy enough.

Brian Brohm completed 17-of-29 passes for 146 yards and two interceptions in Buffalo's Week 16 loss to Atlanta.
Brohm was expected to be a full-blown disaster, but he wasn't any worse than Ryan Fitzpatrick or Trent Edwards. The Bills used a conservative attack, with Brohm's biggest pass play going for 15 yards to Terrell Owens. The Bills will likely give him another shot next week against the Colts, though he's not even remotely a fantasy option.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (ankle) is inactive, ensuring that Brian Brohm will make his first NFL start at Atlanta Sunday.
Keep Terrell Owens and Lee Evans on the bench, and feel free to start the Falcons defense this week. Other Bills inactives: QB Trent Edwards, TE Joe Klopfenstein, DB Todd Johnson, LB Bryan Scott, OT Jamon Meredith, WR Josh Reed, and DE Chris Ellis.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Bills expect Brian Brohm to make his first career start on Sunday in Atlanta.
It is "more than likely" that Brohm starts according to a Bills team source. He took all of the first-team reps in practice this week with Ryan Fitzpatrick battling an ankle injury. Fitzpatrick will still try and get through warmups and play this afternoon, but it is unlikely.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (ankle) returned to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 16.
Fitzpatrick's return to a limited workout makes it possible that he'll be active for backup duty instead of Gibran Hamdan at Atlanta. Brian Brohm is expected to start, although interim coach Perry Fewell is calling it a "game-time decision." It's worth noting that Brohm got most of the first-team practice reps this week. Either way, we'd avoid Terrell Owens and Lee Evans. They'll either have an injured quarterback or a quarterback making his NFL debut.
