Cowboys RCB Mike Jenkins left Sunday's game with an arm contusion.
The severity is unknown. Orlando Scandrick, usually the Cowboys' slot corner, moved outside with Alan Ball stepping in at nickel back. Jenkins has come on strong of late and arguably emerged as Dallas' top cornerback.

The Cowboys have formally named Mike Jenkins their starting right cornerback over Orlando Scandrick.
Jenkins allowed Panthers TE Dante Rosario's touchdown on Monday, but has been steadier than Scandrick, who Mario Manningham and Steve Smith burned all over the field in Week 2. Scandrick will take over at nickel back.

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips hinted that Mike Jenkins has won the right cornerback job from Orlando Scandrick.
The two had been rotating starts, but the staff will discuss naming Jenkins the outright starter this week. Scandrick will likely handle nickel duties going forward.

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said he might re-evaluate his plan to rotate starts between Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins at right corner.
Scandrick started in the Week 2 loss to the Giants and was abused by Mario Manningham. He bit on a double move that went for a touchdown and didn't tackle well. Jenkins was solid in his Week 1 start against the Bucs.

The Cowboys have declared the competition between Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick a draw, saying both corners will split time and alternate starts at the beginning of the season.
A draw? This isn't soccer. Jenkins was thought to have the edge and will start Week 1 against the Bucs. Scandrick will start the home opener against the Giants in Week 2. Strange strategy, but the Cowboys clearly couldn't make up their mind.

Orlando Scandrick will start at right corner for the Cowboys Saturday, but Mike Jenkins remains the favorite for the job.
It's just Scandrick's turn to get a start. Even if Jenkins ends up winning the battle, Scandrick has impressed in camp and will likely be on the field plenty covering slot receivers.
