Panthers placed RT Jeff Otah (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Otah played through a torn meniscus Sunday before leaving later in the game with a sore shoulder. Otah will undergo surgery, and he's expected to be ready for OTAs. The Panthers had already lost LT Jordan Gross to a broken leg, so this is a huge blow to the offensive line. DeAngelo Williams can't be benched, but he's now without both starting tackles in a tough matchup against the Vikings.

Panthers RT Jeff Otah left Sunday's loss to the Patriots with a shoulder injury and did not return.
More problems for the Panthers offensive line, which is already playing without star left tackle Jordan Gross (injured reserve, leg). Geoff Schwartz stepped in for Otah.

Panthers RT Jeff Otah (shoulder) returned to practice on Friday.
He's ready to face Atlanta and should dominate the LE rotation of Chauncey Davis and Jamaal Anderson. Otah's return is a plus for Carolina's run game.

Panthers RT Jeff Otah (shoulder) was held out of Thursday's practice entirely after being limited in Wednesday's session.
If Otah can't go on Sunday, it would be a big blow to the running game. The Panthers would likely push Travelle Wharton back out to tackle and install Mackenzy Bernardeau at guard.

Right tackle Jeff Otah has "regularly de-cleated defenders" at Panthers camp, according to NFL.com's Pat Kirwan.
This isn't a surprise because Otah is 6'6/330 after two weeks off carbs and Carolina's left defensive ends are almost all undersized. But it reinforces how dominant Otah can be. Kirwan says Otah's "looking like an All Pro."
