Donnie Avery caught four passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Week 10 loss to the Saints.
Avery's touchdown catches were gorgeous. He beat Randall Gay on a 29-yard corner route in the second quarter and went up for a ball at the front of the end zone with under three minutes remaining in the fourth. Avery carries a boatload of big play potential, but the Rams are not a big play offense and he should be treated as a WR3 in most matchups. He may have trouble next week against Arizona.

Donnie Avery was held to one catch for 15 yards in Week 8.
Avery may have been on the field simply to serve as a decoy. He was hobbled in practice this week by a shoulder injury and QB Marc Bulger barely distributed the ball his way. He has a bye in Week 9 to rest up.

Donnie Avery was limited in Friday's practice, but is listed as probable for Week 8 with a shoulder injury.
Avery is worth a WR3 play Sunday against Detroit's league-worst secondary in domed Ford Field, but he's been an injury waiting to happen all season. He has dealt with foot, rib, and hip trouble, and now the shoulder issue.

Despite suffering rib and hip injuries in Sunday's loss to the Colts, the Rams say Donnie Avery is not in danger of missing Week 8.
The injuries have been piling up for Avery, so we'd like to see him at 100% before recommending him in fantasy. He's averaging three catches a game.

Donnie Avery caught two passes for 58 yards in the Rams' Week 7 blowout loss to the Colts.
Avery made a beautiful diving catch on a 50-yard flea flicker play in the first quarter, but wasn't heard from much after that as the Rams failed to get anything going offensively. He has the ability to post strong fantasy numbers in the right matchup, and next week's tilt against the 29th-ranked Lions passing defense might be just that.

Donnie Avery (hip) returned to a complete practice on Friday.
Avery says he had "no problem at all" during the workout, but isn't a highly recommended fantasy start against Indianapolis' top-ten pass defense at (probably) less than 100 percent. We barely have him as a top-45 option.
