Donald Brown gained just 10 yards on six carries and added two receptions for 15 yards against the Ravens in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Brown did have a 13-yard run, the longest of any of the Indy backs, but he was held to -7 yards in the second half. The rookie ended up splitting time with Mike Hart, who had seven touches for 20 yards. Brown is more of a boom-or-bust runner while Hart is less explosive but rarely gets stopped for a loss.

Mike Hart ran for 28 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and caught two passes for 16 yards in Week 17.
Donald Brown played with the first-teamers, but exited along with Peyton Manning and company after the first quarter. Hart was the primary back the rest of the way. He showed no explosiveness, as usual, but did executed on a second-quarter goal-line carry. Hart will resume his third-string duties behind Joseph Addai and Brown in the postseason.

Donald Brown ran for just 22 yards on 16 carries, but scored a rushing touchdown and caught a 12-yard pass in the Colts' Week 16 loss to the Jets.
Neither Chad Simpson nor Mike Hart touched the pigskin. Brown, who hadn't played in a month entering the game, ran with hesitancy and didn't break any big plays outside the tackle box. He is also still not much of a short-yardage back. Expect Brown to continue to dominate the backfield in Week 17 at Buffalo, because Joseph Addai will almost certainly be resting.

Mike Hart is a candidate for substantial playing time with the Colts potentially planning to rest starters in the last two games.
Hart, however, has too many factors working against him for fantasy consideration. First, he's not much of a player. He'll be in an offense quarterbacked by fifth-round rookie Curtis Painter, not Peyton Manning. If Joseph Addai sits, Hart will have Donald Brown and Chad Simpson to fight off for carries. And the Jets aren't resting their starters, so it's not going to be a cake walk.

The Colts have offered no timetable on Brown's return. Mike Hart acted as the change of pace back last week and may end up seeing a heavy workload in Weeks 16 and 17 if Joseph Addai is rested.

Colts signed RB Mike Hart off their practice squad.
Hart moves into the No. 4 RB role behind Joseph Addai, Donald Brown, and Chad Simpson. The Michigan alum could see some late-season action if the Colts rest starters, but would probably play behind both Brown and Simpson.
