Bengals coach Marvin Lewis confirmed Monday that WLB Keith Rivers (calf) will return to the starting lineup in Week 13.
Brandon Johnson will resume his No. 4 linebacker role. Rivers had been something of an IDP disappointment before his three-week injury. He was averaging just 5.4 tackles a game with one forced fumble and an interception.

Bengals WLB Keith Rivers (calf) will miss his third consecutive game on Sunday.
Brandon Johnson will draw the start again. The Bengals' No. 2 run defense has not fallen off without Rivers and should be quite alright with Cleveland on the docket today.

Bengals WLB Keith Rivers (calf) is not expected to play in Week 11.
Rivers was unable to practice all week, so his status for Week 12 is also up in the air. Brandon Johnson will start on the weak side at the Raiders. The Bengals' No. 2 overall run defense has not fallen off with Rivers out. They held Rashard Mendenhall to 36 rushing yards on 13 carries last Sunday.

Bengals WLB Keith Rivers (calf strain) will reportedly miss this week's game against the Steelers.
This isn't surprising considering Rivers was hobbling on crutches after last week's game. Quality reserve Brandon Johnson will fill in for Rivers, so Rashard Mendenhall won't get a major upgrade.

Rivers was "hobbling" and on crutches after the game. The injury isn't season threatening, but Brandon Johnson may have to pick up a few spot starts.
