Chiefs LT Branden Albert returned to the starting lineup in Week 9 after missing two games with an ankle injury.
Albert's return gives the Chiefs a big boost, who did average 4.3 yards per carry as a team Sunday. With center Rudy Niswanger also healthy, the line at least healthy but is still terrible.

Chiefs LT Branden Albert (ankle) is expected to practice during the bye week and be available for the Week 9 game against the Jaguars.
Albert has been out since Week 5 and the Chiefs have missed him sorely. Wade Smith filled in, but he now may be needed to play center with Rudy Niswanger (knee) out.

Chiefs have declared LT Branden Albert, CB Donald Washington, S Jarrad Page, WR Bobby Engram, TE Jake O'Connell, TE Brad Cottam, and LB Pierre Walters inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Albert is dealing with an ankle injury, so Wade Smith will start in his place for the second straight week. Page is a healthy scratch after Jon McGraw took his starting spot from him this week.

Chiefs LT Branden Albert (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Week 7.
Albert was injured in Week 5 and missed last week's win against Washington. He was limited in practice on Friday and will be re-evaluated on Sunday morning. Coach Todd Haley says it will probably "go down to the wire with him." Wade Smith would start in Albert's place.

Chiefs declared LT Branden Albert, QB Matt Gutierrez, WR Quinten Lawrence, CB Donald Washington, FS Jarrad Page, TE Jake O'Connell, TE Brad Cottam and LB Pierre Walters inactive for Week 6 against the Redskins.
Wade Smith will draw the start in place of Albert, which is a blow to Matt Cassel's value.

Chiefs LT Brandon Albert (ankle) will not play against the Redskins Sunday.
It hurts the Chiefs' offense as Albert is their best tackle. Veteran Wade Smith is expected to draw the start on Matt Cassel's blind side. At least it's fair now as the Redskins' best tackle, Chris Samuels, is also out.
