Panthers TE Gary Barnidge was held catch-less in Week 17.
Barnidge didn't even play in two-tight end sets and saw zero targets. He showed ability with four games of 46+ yards in 2009, but the Panthers' heavy rotation limits the ceilings and consistency of all three of their TEs.

Gary Barnidge caught two passes for 46 yards against the Dolphins in Week 11.
Barnidge didn't see the field until the final drive, where he made an outstanding leaping grab on his back shoulder for a 29-yard gain and two plays later a 17-yard catch in traffic. Clearly the Panthers' second best option in the passing game, Barnidge was wasted against a Dolphins team that struggles to defend athletic tight ends.

Barnidge (3 catches, 77 yards) emerged as a deep threat against the Bills last week, but the Panthers' quarterback issues make him a high-risk fantasy play against an improving Cardinals defense.

Gary Barnidge caught three passes for 77 yards against the Bills in Week 7.
Only in Carolina will you see the No. 3 tight end being used as a situational deep threat. Barnidge had one 52-yard gain and would have added another had Jake Delhomme not overthrown him on a deep interception. He won't be a waiver option this week.
