Matt Hasselbeck (ribs) returned to a full practice on Thursday after being "limited" in Wednesday's workout.
Hasselbeck reportedly looked sharp, and signs are finally starting to point toward him starting this week against the Jaguars. He "dramatically increased" his first-team reps, and Nate Burleson said expects Hasselbeck to be the one throwing to him on Sunday. He'll be a risky play behind a banged up line, but the Jags are a nice matchup at Qwest Field.

Matt Hasselbeck (ribs) returned to Seahawks practice Wednesday and shared QB snaps with Seneca Wallace.
"It was manageable today," Hasselbeck said of his painful ribs. "I'm OK. Hopefully I'll be out there (in Week 5 against the Jaguars)." No team in the league is bringing less pass rush than Jacksonville, but Seahawks coach Jim Mora will have to decide whether to risk his banged-up 34-year-old quarterback behind Seattle's injury-ruined offensive line. OTs Walter Jones (knee) and Sean Locklear (ankle), and RG Rob Sims (ankle) are all out.

The Colts defensive ends combined for four sacks and drew three holding penalties in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.
This is what happens when Walter Jones and Sean Locklear are both out. The Seahawks just can't pass protect for Seneca Wallace or Matt Hasselbeck. With Jones out indefinitely and Locklear sidelined at least a few more games, this situation isn't getting any better. Brandon Frye and Ray Willis will continue to struggle as the starting tackles.

Seneca Wallace totaled 257 yards and one touchdown on 33-of-45 passing and rushed for a seven-yard touchdown in Week 4 against the Colts.
Wallace was an efficient 14-of-17 in the first half, but then threw 28 passes after halftime as the Seahawks abandoned the running game in a blowout loss. Both the passing and rushing touchdowns came in garbage time, and before that Wallace lost a pair of fumbles as a result of Robert Mathis hits.

Seahawks declared QB Matt Hasselbeck, OL Walter Jones, TE Cameron Morrah, DL Michael Bennett, LB Leroy Hill, DL Red Bryant, OL Sean Locklear and DB Josh Wilson inactive for Week 4 against the Colts.
Seneca Wallace will start in place of Hasselbeck and may get the nod in Week 5 as well. Not only are Jones and Locklear out on the offensive line, Dwight Freeney is active for the Colts.

Seahawks coach Jim Mora confirmed Wednesday that he does not expect Matt Hasselbeck (broken rib) to play in Week 4.
Hasselbeck isn't recovering quickly, which is hardly surprising for the 34-year-old. Seneca Wallace, who managed a putrid 5.9 YPA in Seattle's Week 3 loss, will start against Indianapolis' smothering pass defense. Hasselbeck's return date is unknown. The Seahawks don't have a bye until Week 7.
