 Garrett Hartley-K- SaintsNov. 6 - 5:31 pm et
Saints K Garrett Hartley injured his foot on the practice field this week and is listed as doubtful for Week 9.
This won't help his chances of surpassing John Carney. Carney is likely to finish out 2009 as the Saints' starter, with Hartley taking over in 2010.

 John Carney-K - Saints Nov. 6 - 11:24 am et

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, it "doesn't appear" K John Carney is in danger of losing his job to Garrett Hartley despite missing three kicks in the last two weeks.
Coach Sean Payton said the problems haven't been Carney's alone, placing some of the blame on snapper Jason Kyle and holder Mark Brunell as well. Dynasty leaguers will have to keep carrying both Saints kickers for the time being.

 John Carney-K - Saints Nov. 3 - 8:07 am et

Saints K John Carney missed a 37-yard field goal in Monday night's win over the Falcons.
Carney also missed one in Week 7, although that one was from 49 yards out. Still, the veteran could be in danger of losing his job with Garrett Hartley ready to go. Hartley made all 13 of his field goal attempts last season.

 Garrett Hartley-K - Saints Nov. 2 - 7:19 pm et

Saints declared K Garrett Hartley, third QB Chase Daniel, DT Sedrick Ellis, LB Scott Fujita, C Nick Leckey, CB Leigh Torrence, RB Lynell Hamilton, and S Chris Reis inactive for Monday Night Football.
John Carney will retain kicking duties ahead of Hartley until he falters. Special teamer Tracy White will take Fujita's place on the strong side.

 John Carney-K - Saints Oct. 31 - 1:48 pm et

Beat writer Jeff Duncan says that John Carney will be the Saints' kicker for the rest of the 2009 season.
Carney is only in danger of losing his job to Garrett Hartley if Carney falls into an "unforeseen deep funk." Keep Carney active as a top-10 fantasy kicker.

 John Carney-K - Saints Oct. 30 - 10:49 am et

The Saints have given no indication that K John Carney's job is in danger this week.
Carney missed a 49-yard field goal (certainly no gimme) as well as an extra point that came on a bad snap in last week's game. Carney makes for a fine fantasy start at home against the Falcons on Monday Night Football.
