Matthew Stafford (shoulder, knee) is hoping to be cleared for full participation for the offseason conditioning program, which begins on March 15.
Stafford's shoulder did not require surgery and he's simply been rehabbing it to improve strength in the capsule. He's at the Lions facility this week to check in with team doctors and all signs point toward him being good to go in March.

 Matthew Stafford-QB - Lions Feb. 5 - 11:09 am et

Matthew Stafford indicated that he's "pretty close" to being recovered from the left shoulder injury that ended his season.
Stafford underwent a knee scope in late December, but it was the shoulder that kept him out of the lineup for the final month. He's expected to be healthy for offseason activities, but the Lions will need to upgrade the offensive line to keep him in one piece for 2010.

Matthew Stafford (knee scope) reiterated that he expects to be ready for the start of the off-season conditioning program in March.
"It's still in the rehab phase, but I'm moving around, doing a lot of stuff with it," Stafford said. "It's more strength now than anything." The minor surgery won't adversely affect his draft status this summer.

Matthew Stafford (knee scope) confirmed Monday that he plans to be 100 percent for the start of the offseason program in March.
Stafford's knee surgery was minor and is unlikely to have any bearing on his future. Assuming his accuracy catches up somewhat to his arm strength, toughness, and poise, Stafford could make a run at the top-15 fantasy QBs in 2010. He'll also need some help with an upgrade at No. 2 wide receiver.

Matthew Stafford underwent a successful minor surgery on his right knee Tuesday.
Stafford simply had a routine scope by Dr. James Andrews, so the procedure is not likely to negative impact his offseason routine. He managed to escape surgery on the left shoulder that bothered him earlier this month.

Matthew Stafford is going on injured reserve because of his right knee, not his separated left shoulder.
Stafford will have the knee "cleaned out" by Dr. James Andrews on Tuesday. Stafford orginally hurt the knee back on Oct. 4 against the Bears and missed two games. No surgery is planned on his shoulder. Stafford will be fine for the entire offseason program.
