Colts president Bill Polian said Donald Brown's shoulder bothered him a little bit during Monday night's win over the Patriots, but not enough to hinder the rookie runner.
Polian also said that Brown came out of the game with a sore back, but nothing major. After Joseph Addai's first-quarter finger injury, Brown and Chad Simpson played in an even rotation. Brown's inability to separate from a career special teamer and former undrafted free agent isn't a good sign for the Colts' first-round pick in the immediate future. Brown isn't a fantasy option.

Donald Brown was limited to four rushes for 14 yards and an eight-yard reception in Week 10 against the Patriots.
The Colts fell to a three-score deficit in the third quarter and didn't have the luxury of running the ball. When they did, the carries either were split unevenly between Brown, who rushed four times, Joseph Addai, who rushed 10 times for 41 yards, and Chad Simpson, who rushed four times for 36 yards. Brown won't be a factor in fantasy realms unless Addai is unhealthy.

Donald Brown completed a full week of practice Friday and is not on the Colts' injury report for Week 10.
Brown, who was close to playing last week coming off a shoulder injury, will likely immediately resume his series-by-series rotation with Joseph Addai against the Patriots. While Brown isn't a good fantasy bet, he will cut heavily into Addai's workload. Addai is no longer more than a flex option.

"I should be out there on Sunday ready to go," Brown said after Wednesday's practice. The Colts will need their big-play threat against the Patriots this week, and he'll put a damper on Joseph Addai's value.

Donald Brown is not on the Colts' initial Week 10 injury report.
He practiced in full, but did the same on Wednesday and Thursday of last week before missing Friday's practice and sitting out against Houston. Brown should be closer to playing this week. The Colts need him versus the Pats.

In an interview with Colts.com, club president Bill Polian said he expects Donald Brown (shoulder) back in the "not-so-distant future."
Polian said so when asked about free agent Larry Johnson. "I wouldn't think that Larry Johnson would be high on our list," Polian added. Brown practiced some last week and appears to have a good chance of playing in Week 10.
