Donald Brown ran for 18 yards on just four carries and caught an 11-yard pass in the Colts' Super Bowl loss.
Brown's 11-yard reception in the second quarter got the Colts out of a jam after Saints P Thomas Morstead's punt was downed at the Indy four-yard line. He wasn't heard from much after that, though, seeing just the five touches compared to Joseph Addai's 20. We still expect Brown's role to be much increased as a second-year pro. He is clearly a more explosive player than Addai.

Donald Brown (foot, questionable) missed Colts practice on Friday.
Brown is expected to return to practice next week and play behind Joseph Addai in the Super Bowl. Of some concern, though, is that he's missed time with a litany of injuries throughout the season. He'll have to prove he can stay healthy before the Colts count on him for an expanded role.

Donald Brown (toe) may miss some practice time this week but is expected to play in the Super Bowl.
Brown has six carries in each of the Colts' two playoff wins, but Joseph Addai has gotten nicked up and missed a little time in both games. A healthy Addai will mean even less work for Brown.

Donald Brown gained just 10 yards on six carries and added two receptions for 15 yards against the Ravens in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Brown did have a 13-yard run, the longest of any of the Indy backs, but he was held to -7 yards in the second half. The rookie ended up splitting time with Mike Hart, who had seven touches for 20 yards. Brown is more of a boom-or-bust runner while Hart is less explosive but rarely gets stopped for a loss.

Donald Brown ran for -4 yards on four carries in the Colts' Week 17 loss to the Bills.
Brown had 17 touches in the Colts' Week 16 game, but Mike Hart was the primary ball carrier in this one. Entering the playoffs, Brown has struggled badly since returning from his month-long chest injury. He's averaging just over 1.0 YPC on his last 20 carries, and is very unlikely to be a big part of the postseason offense behind every-down back Joseph Addai.

Donald Brown (illness) returned to a full practice Friday and is listed as probable for Week 17.
