Titans placed SLB David Thornton (pectorals/shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Rookie Gerald McRath will close out the year on the strong side, and probably make Thornton expendable in the offseason. Thornton, 31, is due a $4 million salary in 2010 and his shoulder problems have become chronic. He finishes his fourth year as a Titan with 58 tackles and one sack in 11 games. |
