With Jabari Greer and nickel back Randall Gay now healthy, Saints rookie CB Malcolm Jenkins is expected to focus on special teams in the playoffs.
Jenkins, the No. 14 overall pick, was a fantastic gunner earlier this year. He'll likely also play in dime packages. The former Ohio State Buckeye finished his first regular season with 55 tackles, a pick, and two forced fumbles.

Saints CB Malcolm Jenkins made his first career start against the Bucs Sunday and recorded an interception.
Jenkins, the Saints' first-round pick this season, also led the team in tackles and was credited with two passes defensed. Jenkins proved he's not much of a downgrade from Tracy Porter.

Saints CB Malcolm Jenkins is expected to make his first NFL start against the Bucs this week.
Jenkins started out as the nickel back last week before moving to a full time role after Tracy Porter suffered a knee injury. Jenkins did "really well" according to coach Sean Payton and shouldn't be a liability for the Saints pass defense.

Scout.com's Adam Caplan estimates that Saints CB Tracy Porter's MCL strain will cost him 4-8 weeks.
Caplan says the injury "sounds like" a Grade 3 sprain, or full tear. Porter doesn't need surgery, but he may not return until the final few weeks of the season. Randall Gay and Malcolm Jenkins will start on the corners until Jabari Greer (groin) returns. Leigh Torrence will be the nickel back.

Saints CB Jabari Greer left the Week 9 win over the Panthers with a groin injury and did not return.
Greer came up lame in the fourth quarter and was replaced by both Randall Gay and rookie Malcolm Jenkins. Coach Sean Payton said Greer's injury is not serious, but his status for Week 10 is unknown. Greer has 35 tackles, two interceptions and 13 passes defensed this season.

Saints declared RB Mike Bell, third QB Chase Daniel, WR Rod Harper, TE Darnell Dinkins, DT Kendrick Clancy, LB JoLonn Dunbar, OT Jermon Bushrod and CB Malcolm Jenkins inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Bell (MCL sprain) will probably be held out through the Saints' Week 5 bye. Pierre Thomas has another chance today to put a stranglehold on the feature back role. Jenkins rolled an ankle against the Bills last week and it's not a surprise he's unavailable.
