Bengals rookie TE Chase Coffman has yet to be active for a single game in his first season.

 John Paul Foschi-TE - Bengals Oct. 29 - 1:03 pm et

John Paul Foschi has moved ahead of Daniel Coats as the No. 1 tight end on the Bengals' depth chart.
Coats' drops and fumbles have caught up with him. Foschi isn't much of a receiver and will have about as much fantasy value as Coats did. Rookie Chase Coffman is still not blocking well enough or contributing on special teams to be active on Sundays.

Offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski indicated Monday that the Bengals do not plan to increase rookie TE Chase Coffman's usage soon.
"He’s still trying to get his feet underneath him and keep his balance (as a blocker)," Bratkowski said. The Bengals insist they aren't down on Coffman, but he's a third-stringer and has not dressed for a game yet this year.

 Chase Coffman-TE - Bengals Sep. 27 - 2:54 pm et

Bengals declared TE Chase Coffman, LG Nate Livings, QB Jordan Palmer, CB David Jones, S Tom Nelson, OT Andre Smith, WR Jerome Simpson, and DE Frostee Rucker inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
It's the exact same inactives as last week for the Bengals. Coffman is healthy but not ready to contribute. Andre Smith's rookie year is looking like a bust already.

Rookie TE Chase Coffman was a healthy scratch in the Bengals' opener.
Daniel Coats started and even John Paul Foschi played ahead of Coffman, who still can't block. Coffman is unlikely to make an impact before midyear.

According to Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy, "no one has progressed during camp as much as [TE Chase] Coffman."
That's even though Coffman has struggled with his surgically repaired foot. Reedy says Coffman will see time in two-tight end sets right away, but we're not so sure. Regardless, Coffman is a name for deep dynasty leaguers.
