Rookie Mike Thomas caught seven passes for 65 yards in the Jaguars' Week 17 loss to the Browns.
He started in place of Torry Holt (finger, out) and was an efficient threat in the underneath passing game. Thomas projects long term as only a slot receiver at 5'8/195, but will certainly be a bigger part of the offense in 2009. He was effective in three-receiver sets as a rookie, finishing with 48 catches for 453 while doubling as Jacksonville's primary kick returner.
