 Bryan Scott-LB - Bills Nov. 13 - 10:43 am et

Bryan Scott has completed the transition from strong safety to linebacker, and he's expected to start in place of Keith Ellison (quadriceps) this week.
The Bills originally considered the move to get safeties Jairus Byrd and Donte Whitner into the lineup together, but now it's a necessity. Scott will give the Bills an advantage on passing downs, but he's certainly not going to help the porous run defense.

Bills FS Jairus Byrd doesn't believe he'll miss time with his groin injury, but he won't know for sure until next week.
Byrd, who underwent sports hernia surgery in late July, has been dealing with nagging soreness for weeks. "It's a little bit all the same and connected," Byrd said. "Just getting out there, the wear and tear." Doctors have indicated it could be a scar tissue problem, and Byrd will wait to test it again until next week.

 Jairus Byrd-DB - Bills Nov. 2 - 11:05 am et

Bills FS Jairus Byrd left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a groin injury and did not return.
The ballhawking NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for October already picked Matt Schaub twice before leaving, bringing his season total to seven. He has the bye week to get healthy for the Week 10 game against the Titans.

 Jairus Byrd-DB - Bills Oct. 29 - 4:30 pm et

Bills FS Jairus Byrd was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for October.
Byrd totaled 15 tackles, five interceptions and seven passes defended, and the pass defense actually improved while he filled in for Donte Whitner. Byrd is a natural ballhawking safety, so the Bills will have to find playing time for him even when Whitner does return.

 George Wilson-DB - Bills Oct. 3 - 9:19 am et

George Wilson and Jairus Byrd will be the Bills' starting safeties on Sunday in Miami.
Wilson will step into Bryan Scott's (ankle) spot at strong safety and Byrd will be in for free safety Donte Whitner (thumb surgery). This is a good situation for the Dolphins' Chad Henne to make his first start of the season, as the Bills will be missing four defensive starters in Scott, Whitner, Leodis McKelvin, and Paul Posluszny.
