Panthers FB Brad Hoover is expected to miss several games with a high right ankle sprain.
This injury is a slight blow to DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, as Hoover is a solid lead blocker. Backup Tony Fiammetta is questionable for this week with a concussion. The Panthers' running game could be using a fullback off the street for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Hoover has held off annual challenges since '02, but is turning 33 and the coaching staff appears high on Fiammetta, the best lead blocker drafted in April. Hoover is due $850K in salary, while Fiammetta will only cost $310K.
