Falcons signed DB William Middleton to their practice squad.
The Bucs released Middleton about a week ago after claiming him off waivers from the Falcons. He was Atlanta's fifth-round pick in April.

Bucs released CB William Middleton.
The Bucs snagged Atlanta's fifth-rounder off waivers over the weekend, but they must not have liked what they saw. Coming out of Furman, he's not ready for NFL receivers.

Corner is Tampa Bay's thinnest position (save arguably wide receiver), but Middleton probably won't help anytime soon. The Furman product will compete for dime back snaps with fellow small-school rookie E.J. Biggers.

Ferguson lost out to Marty Booker, which says plenty about what's left of his ability. Walker and Middleton were both draft picks this year. Winborn will be an option again if one of Atlanta's linebackers goes down.

Furman's MVP last season, Middleton profiles as an eventual nick or dime corner. The Falcons did not announce terms, but it's likely a three-year deal.
