Chiefs placed OT Colin Brown on injured reserve, ending his season.
As has become customary in Kansas City, Brown's injury was never disclosed. The raw fifth-round pick will return in 2010 to battle for a roster spot.

Chiefs signed fifth-round OT Colin Brown to a three-year contract, including a $154,000 signing bonus.
Brown practiced behind RT Damion McIntosh at OTAs. A former walk-on who goes 6'7/335, Brown gained loads of pass-blocking experience in Mizzou's spread offense. That could come in handy for the Chiefs' shotgun-heavy attack.
