Jaguars placed WR Jarett Dillard on season-ending injured reserve with a broken ankle.
Dillard suffered the injury against the Jets last week. While he finished his rookie season with just six catches, there were indications that Dillard had passed third-rounder Mike Thomas for the third receiver job heading into Week 10. He'll likely battle for the position again next summer.

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio revealed after Sunday's game that rookie Jarett Dillard suffered a season-ending broken leg/ankle.
Dillard went down on his only catch of the game and finishes his rookie year with 106 yards on six grabs. He was giving fellow first-year wideout Mike Thomas a run for the third receiver job prior to the devastating injury.

Dillard went down after a nice catch and was carted to the locker room.

Rookie WRs Mike Thomas and Jarett Dillard are expected to be active for the first time in Week 3.
With Troy Williamson (labrum) out for the season and Nate Hughes released, Thomas and Dillard will be the third and fourth receivers against the Texans. Thomas would presumably be in the slot, but the Jags rarely use three-receiver sets.

Mike Sims-Walker is expected to start opposite Torry Holt for the Jaguars on Sunday.
With Troy Williamson out for the year and Nate Hughes waived, Sims-Walker is getting his chance. He had six catches for 106 yards and touchdown in Week 2 and with the Jags' leaky defense, Sims-Walker will have more chances for garbage time stats like that. Rookies Mike Thomas and Jarett Dillard are expected to be the other two active receivers Sunday.

Jaguars declared WR Jarett Dillard, LB Adam Seward, OG Kynan Forney, OT Jordan Black, WR Mike Thomas, TE Zach Miller, OLB/DE Julian Williams, and DE James Wyche inactive for Week 1.
Jacksonville has just four receivers "up" Sunday: Troy Williamson, Torry Holt, Mike Sims-Walker, and training camp standout/slot receiver Nate Hughes.
