Jaguars rookie TE Zach Miller will return from his knee injury this week.
"It’s great to have Zach back as a tight end," said coach Jack Del Rio. Miller will play in a situational pass-catching role behind Marcedes Lewis.

Jaguars sixth-round TE Zach Miller is expected to be out "for awhile" with a knee injury.
Beat writer Michael Wright expects the Jags to try to hide the speedy rookie on injured reserve. The converted QB is an interesting long-term project, but he wasn't going to contribute much as a rookie.

Coach Jack Del Rio singled out rookies Rashad Jennings and Zach Miller as being impressive in the Jaguars' Saturday night scrimmage.
"(He) continues to flash," Del Rio said of Jennings, adding that Miller "has flashed the whole time." Jennings needs his impressive practicing to carry over into the preseason. If it does, he'll be Maurice Jones-Drew's handcuff.

Jaguars signed sixth-round TE Zach Miller to a four-year contract.
Miller impressed onlookers during minicamp season, but he's still a pretty long shot as an undersized (6'4/233) converted quarterback coming from Nebraska-Omaha. The Jags will try to mold Miller into a pass-catching backup for Marcedes Lewis, who's never taken the next step as a receiver.
