Panthers running backs DeAngelo Williams (ankle) and Tyrell Sutton (calf) are inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants, as expected.
Jonathan Stewart is in line for a ton of work and is a borderline RB1. The other Panthers inactives are WR Dwayne Jarrett, third QB Hunter Cantwell, OT Rob Petitti, DT Derek Landri, DE Hilee Taylor and CB C.J. Wilson.

Panthers RB Tyrell Sutton (calf) is out for Sunday's game against the Giants.
It's a tough break for Sutton as he would have had an opening for a change-of-pace role this week thanks to DeAngelo Williams' ankle injury. Look for Mike Goodson to back up Jonathan Stewart Sunday.

Mike Goodson is likely to back up Jonathan Stewart against the Giants. Look for at least 25 touches from Stewart with DeAngelo Williams doubtful.

The Panthers could activate Mike Goodson Sunday, but Jonathan Stewart is staring at 25-30 carries if DeAngelo Williams and Sutton can't go.

Panthers RB Tyrell Sutton had six carries for 38 yards in the team's Week 13 win over the Buccaneers.
Sutton was productive on his runs, but didn't exactly take over Jonathan Stewart's usual "No. 2" role in the Panthers' RB committee with DeAngelo Williams (ankle) inactive. Stewart pretty much dominated work, getting 27 touches. Sutton should stay on waiver wires in shallow fantasy leagues.

Tyrell Sutton has moved ahead of Mike Goodson on the Panthers' depth chart.
It doesn't say a lot for Goodson to lose out to an undrafted rookie, but Sutton can play. He's a good pass-catcher and the Panthers even used Sutton (5'8/213) at fullback in an emergency during the Week 9 loss to the Saints.
