Chris Baker caught two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' Week 3 win over the Falcons.
Baker had just eight yards combined coming into this game and isn't often going to catch 36-yard touchdown passes. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Patriots TEs Ben Watson and Chris Baker rotated series until late in the fourth quarter on Sunday.
Much like Week 1, Watson got the call late in the game. Watson played 47 snaps to 31 for Baker. Neither player is going to have fantasy value if the two continue to rotate.

This being a Bill Belichick team, we have no idea what has kept Watson on the sidelines since the beginning of training camp. Regardless, he appears to have fallen behind Chris Baker in the tight end pecking order.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick singled out Chris Baker when talking about the team's tight end competition Sunday.
A rare move by Belichick, and one that confirms our suspicions that Baker will get the most snaps on the team at tight end. Ben Watson, Alex Smith, and David Thomas are bunched closely together behind Baker. We wouldn't draft any of them, but Baker could be a bye-week fill in.

Chris Baker caught three passes for 22 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles in the Patriots preseason opener.
Alex Smith didn't catch a pass and Ben Watson sat out the game with an undisclosed injury. Watson appears to be in Bill Belichick's doghouse while Baker played every snap in the first half. The Pats have talked about involving their tight ends more in the red zone, and Baker may be the primary beneficiary.
