Tony Scheffler has been getting first-team snaps in Denver's two tight end sets at minicamp, but is generally playing behind Daniel Graham.
No surprise here. This is essentially the same role Scheffler had under Mike Shanahan, and it could limit his snaps near the goal line. With that said, it's a plus that Scheffler has enjoyed his first healthy offseason as a pro. It remains to be seen how much he'll be used in new coach Josh McDaniels' typically tight end-unfriendly system. Source: Denver Post
