 Josh McCown-QB- PanthersJan. 27 - 10:09 pm et
The Panthers are not expected to re-sign backup quarterbacks Josh McCown and A.J. Feeley.
McCown's season ended early due to knee and foot injuries, while Feeley spent virtually the entire year as Carolina's third-string signal caller. Feeley could appeal to the Rams, whose offensive coordinator tutored him in Philly, or the Eagles, who are likely to move Mike Vick and/or Donovan McNabb.

 Josh McCown-QB - Panthers Sep. 14 - 4:12 pm et

Panthers placed QB Josh McCown (knee, foot) on injured reserve, ending his season.
The knee was only sprained, but his foot injury was serious. This moves Matt Moore into the No. 2 quarterback role behind pick-prone starter Jake Delhomme, and may indicate an A.J. Feeley signing is coming. McCown, 30, isn't under contract for 2010 and has likely played his last down for Carolina. GM Marty Hurney will have to strongly consider drafting a QB early in 2010.

Panthers coach John Fox wouldn't rule out signing a quarterback after Josh McCown was carted off the field with knee and foot injuries Sunday.
Fox said the team is "not necessarily" guaranteed to sign another quarterback, and he seemed more concerned with McCown's injuries than Jake Delhomme's putrid play. Jeff Garcia could be one option, and he'd be a threat to Delhomme's job if he was brought in.

Panthers backup QB Josh McCown is unlikely to play in Week 2 after suffering left knee and foot injuries against the Eagles.
McCown was taken from the field in a cart and the extent of his injuries are unknown right now. Jake Delhomme would have started against the Falcons even if McCown was healthy, but now he'll be looking over his shoulder at Matt Moore instead of McCown on Sunday.

 Josh McCown-QB - Panthers Sep. 13 - 3:45 pm et

After entering the game for an ineffective Jake Delhomme, Josh McCown left the game with a knee injury.
The Panthers chose to put third QB Matt Moore in instead of going back to Delhomme. Neither backup looked very good and Delhomme will almost certainly be under center next week.
 Jake Delhomme-QB - Panthers Sep. 13 - 3:26 pm et

Jake Delhomme was pulled from Sunday's game against the Eagles while losing 38-10 in the third quarter.
He was downright horrible and was replaced by Josh McCown. Delhomme was 7-of-17 for 73 yards with no touchdowns, four interceptions and a lost fumble that the Birds took back for a touchdown. Combine that with his ugly performance against the Falcons in the playoffs last year, and Delhomme now has nine interceptions in his last 51 attempts. The Panthers have to be worried that Delhomme is done.
