Steelers 2007 fourth-round DE Ryan McBean is currently penciled in as a starter for the Broncos.
McBean has good size for the 3-4 at 6'5/290 with intriguing athleticism, but was frequently rag dolled in Steelers practice over the last two years and is still a project. Mike Shanahan holdover Kenny Peterson is expected to start at the other end position. This team won't be any better against the run.

Broncos re-signed DL Kenny Peterson to a three-year contract.
A former third-round pick who's never met expectations, Peterson will push for playing time at end in Denver's hybrid defense. Peterson had three sacks in 16 games last season. He isn't an ideal 3-4 scheme fit at just 6'3/285.

Free agent DL Kenny Peterson "has decided to remain with the Broncos," according to the Sacramento Bee.
The 49ers had given Peterson a look, but it appears he's set to be re-signed. Peterson played for the sixth-year veteran's minimum last season.
