Former Falcons and Saints kicker Morten Andersen has decided to hang up his cleats for good because of knee problems.
How was he not retired already? The 48-year-old's 2,437 points during his 25-year career are the most in league history. He "retired" Sunday because the Saints and Falcons played each other. He was a Pro Bowler seven times and a three-time All Pro. Kickers don't get to the Hall of Fame, but Andersen should at least get some consideration. No NFL player has ever appeared in more games. |
