Dustin Penner scored his 13th goal of the season and registered an assist as Edmonton fell to the Blackhawks 5-2.
Penner’s goal came on a power play in the third period. Sheldon Souray scored his first of the season in the first period. Shawn Horcoff, Lubomir Visnovsky, and Steve Staios registered assists for the Oilers.

Shawn Horcoff was back at practice on Friday after leaving early on Thursday.
It appears that his shoulder may have been acting up, but Horcoff looks to be a go for Edmonton on Saturday. The Oilers have been hurting of late and have already lost 115 man games to injury in the first quarter of the season. Liam Reddox (foot), Lubomir Visnovsky (undisclosed) and Ales Hemsky (upper body) also were back at practice after missing Thursday's skate.

Shawn Horcoff could not make it through practice on Thursday according to coach Pat Quinn.
While no reason was given, Horcoff has just returned from a shoulder injury that cost him four games. Stay tuned.

Patrick O'Sullivan put the Oilers ahead late in the game and they were able to come out victorious 6-4 over the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night.
Gilbert Brule, Sam Gagner and Ales Hemsky each had a goal and an assist in the game, while Lubomir Visnovsky assisted on a couple. Shawn Horcoff and Ryan Potulny also scored for the Oilers.

Shawn Horcoff (shoulder) will return to the Edmonton lineup on Sunday night against Atlanta.
Horcoff has missed the previous four games with a shoulder injury. He has just two goals and five points in 15 games this season, but should start to get some points by osmosis from playing on the team's top line with offensive catalysts Ales Hemsky and Dustin Penner.

Shawn Horcoff (shoulder) is expected to return to the Edmonton lineup on Sunday.
Horcoff has missed the last four games with the shoulder injury. He will return to the top line, in between Ales Hemsky and Dustin Penner. Get him back in your lineup ASAP.
