 Anze Kopitar-C- KingsJan. 3 - 9:51 am et
Anze Kopitar is in a terrible goal-scoring slump.
The budding superstar has scored only two goals since December 1st after netting 14 in the first two months of the season. There is no question that Kopitar has been hurt by the injuries to Ryan Smyth and Justin Williams. However, he has enough talent to generate offense on his own. Kopitar should rebound shortly. Be patient with him.

 Justin Williams-W - Kings Dec. 29 - 7:38 am et

Justin Williams underwent surgery on Monday to repair a broken right leg and will be out of the Los Angeles lineup for 12 weeks.
This is not good news for the Kings who lost their right winger on the top line after getting back Ryan Smyth, their first line left winger after being out a month. The duo, along with center Anze Kopitar managed only two shifts together before Williams was knocked out of the game and most of the rest of the season. Look for Williams to return in mid-March at the earliest. Teddy Purcell gets the first opportunity on the top line so his fantasy value increases, despite scoring only once in the last 32 games.

According to Kings coach Terry Murray, Justin Williams (broken leg) could be sidelined for about three months.
That means that Williams might be able to return shortly after the Olympic break ends on March 1st. Williams was scheduled to see the team doctor on Monday and he may require surgery on his broken leg.

Justin Williams suffered a broken right leg in the first period on Saturday and will be out indefinitely.
This is a cruel blow to the Kings as linemate Ryan Smyth returned to the lineup on Saturday after a six-week absence with an upper body injury. The duo played on the top line with Anze Kopitar for only two shifts before the injury. "Very disappointing. It's very disappointing for Willie," coach Terry Murray said. "He's gone through some injuries the last couple of years that he worked hard to get back to playing a good game. And he was really happy with the line and how everything was going at the start of the year. It's very unfortunate." Dustin Brown took over for Williams and should remain on the top line for the foreseeable future. Reserve Williams immediately.

 Ryan Smyth-W - Kings Dec. 26 - 3:13 pm et

Just a reminder, that Ryan Smyth will return to the fold for Los Angeles on Saturday night from a rib injury.
He will be back on the top line with Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams in the contest. Smyth has been sidelined since Nov. 16 with an upper-body injury, said to be his ribs, and has been sorely missed by his linemates. Get him back in your lineup if you have not already done so.
