Jason Williams scored in his return to the Detroit lineup after a 38 game absence due to a broken leg.
Williams lined up on the second line with Todd Bertuzzi and Valtteri Filppula and manned the point on the second power play alongside Niklas Kronwall. His goal came with the man-advantage. Williams will likely lose his spot on the second line once Tomas Holmstrom and Johan Franzen return, so be aware of the possibility, although he will remain on the second power play unit.

Jason Williams (broken leg) is probable for Friday's game against Nashville.
Williams is definitely healthy enough to go as he has been cleared medically. "We will make the final assessment (today)," GM Ken Holland said. "But I talked to (Babcock) and he's open to putting him in the lineup. So, barring any last-minute change of mind or any setback during the morning, it appears Willie will be back." Get ready to activate Williams as he has been out since Nov. 7. He could see time as a top-six forward to start as Tomas Holmstrom and Johan Franzen are still out of action.

Jason Williams (broken leg) has been medically cleared to return to the Detroit lineup in time for Friday's game.
Williams broke his leg against the Maple Leafs on Nov. 7. He started off the season with two goals and seven points in the Red Wings first 15 games. Get ready to activate him if you normally would but he will likely be a bottom six forward in the next two weeks as Tomas Holmstrom and Johan Franzen get ready to return as well from injuries.

Jason Williams (broken leg) could return to Detroit's lineup by Sunday.
Williams has been sidelined since November 7th. "If I can get in and play sometime next week, that would be great," Williams said. "That's something that I'm striving for. Each day I go out there, I feel better. I'd just like to get a couple practices underneath me where I'm banged around a little bit and taking some one-on-ones, some three-on-twos, and just sort of testing it out that way as well. I definitely feel a lot better, I feel confident in my skating and things like that. It's just the bumps and the grinds and things, I've got to see how that will react to it." He has two goals and seven points in 15 games this season.

Jason Williams (broken leg) is due back in the Detroit lineup in approximately two weeks.
Williams has been out since Nov. 7 when he broke his leg in a game against the Maple Leafs. "I just saw him on the trainer's table (Monday) and he was getting a foot massage and stretched and iced," GM Ken Holland said. "I said to Piet (trainer Piet Van Zant ), 'Are we correct in assuming 14 days, give or take a few days on either side?' And he said, 'Yeah.' So I think we're looking probably at 14 days thereabouts to get him back playing." Stay tuned.
