Matt Pettinger will lose his spot on the Vancouver roster when Daniel Sedin is activated from the injured reserve list prior to Sunday's game.
Pettinger was placed on waivers Friday but actually played Friday night against Colorado, getting no stats in 8:37 minutes of action. Pettinger was originally recalled due to the spate of injuries the Canucks had up front. "I kind of knew what the understanding was," Pettinger said. "Obviously they had a lot of injuries and a lot of them are healthy now. I thought I did a fairly good job and, with the conversations I had with them, they were happy, too. I'll find out tomorrow (Saturday) what my options are and move on from there. Obviously they're are getting a heck of a player back." Source: Vancouver Sun
